The Forte of Santo António in Cidade Velha was the target of intervention in 2015, as part of the project developed in direct liaison with the authorities of Ribeira Grande and the Curatorship of Cidade Velha.
The aforementioned project aimed to enhance and safeguard the Forte of S. António and the Ermida adjacent to the Forte (the Ermida of S. António) as part of the vast material and immaterial heritage of this City, a World Heritage Site.
It was implemented through the Gulbenkian Partnerships for Development and Portuguese Language and Culture programs, transcribed in this document through pedagogical, technical (archaeological intervention, conservation and restoration) and financial reports.
