It was designed to accommodate the Franciscan religious who replaced the Jesuits in the mission in Cabo Verde. It also served as a training centre where the priests taught the community various trades. It was practically destroyed after the attack of the corsair Jacques Cassard in 1712 and a storm in 1754.<strong>.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<iframe src=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/maps\/d\/u\/0\/embed?mid=1TAy9q5Icy3bWleF9RID1PgewpPiT6rz8\" width=\"640\" height=\"480\"><\/iframe>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Constru\u00eddo por volta de 1640, numa parcela de terreno doado por Joana Coelho, rica propriet\u00e1ria rural, vi\u00fava do capit\u00e3o Fabi\u00e3o de Andrade.
